2022 FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW ENTRY INFO & UPDATES
Hey all!
Please see the information below on the Fort Worth Stock Show coming up in January 2022, including the Junior Livestock Show and the Junior Judging Contests.
Please note that we are only focusing this information on the portions of the show that require the youth members to be 4-H (or FFA) members in order to enter. These are the only opportunities for which we can request an excused absence from your school.
If you are showing livestock, please note that you MUST have an updated Quality Counts Number for your age group (important if you are new to showing, if you have moved from 5th to 6th grade, or if you have moved from 8th to 9th grade).
Please read through these opportunities and let us know if you need help with anything!
MAJOR SHOW ENTRY FORM DEADLINES:
- All 2022 4-H Major Show Entries are DUE to the Bastrop County Extension Office by 12:00 Noon on Thursday, November 4, 2021, unless otherwise noted for specific contest entries.
- REMINDER: All Extension Agents have until 11/15/21 to sign, seal, and postmark all entries and supporting documents for Fort Worth - they must be turned in by November 4th to the CEO in order for us to process through everything, make sure your information is up to date and correct.

ADDITIONAL SHOW OPPORTUNITIES (no excused absence request):
There are some additional opportunities associated with the Fort Worth Stock Show (including a poultry show, a rabbit show, a horse show, and a few other contests); however, we are NOT able to request an excused absence for participation in these opportunities since they do not require youth participants to be a 4-H/FFA member. We are happy to send a letter of support to your school if you choose to participate, but it will be up to the school to decide how to handle your absence. Please let us know if you have any questions about this.
