- REMINDER: All Extension Agents have until 12/1/19 to sign, seal, and postmark all online entries and supporting documents - double check with them to see when they have set your county deadline (Bastrop County 4-H entries are due to the CEO by 4 PM, November 7th)
- REMINDER: with adjustments to the schedule, there will be limited time for move-outs. Move-ins will only be scheduled for 1 DAY (it will be a longer day)
- NEW: The show will not pre-bed the pens and the cost of the bag of shavings is now built into the entry - you will get a voucher to pick up 1 bag of shavings per pen at the store
- NEW: The drug residue testing will now include blood serum tests to market show breed champions
- REMINDER: The drug residue testing will continue to use feather, & fecal testing for poultry and will take place as the champion drive finishes
- NEW: Turkey exhibitors must be physically IN LINE by 9:00 AM for turkey sift
- NEW: Barrows will follow the new classification guidelines
- NEW: Entry fees will increase slightly due to the increased cost of hosting the show, additions to drug testing, and so on.
- NEW: Maximum weight for market goats is 120 lbs.
- NEW: Archery contest will increase from 160 to 240 entries this year
- NEW: Robotics contest will be opened up state-wide, each county is allowed to send 2 Junior and 2 Senior teams (intermediates will be adjusted into Junior/Senior according to the age/grade rules in the premium book)
- NEW: Wildlife contest location has changed for this year & some contest dates have been changed

- NEW: When validating breeding swine this year (gilts), papers must be in the exhibitor’s name - this is new and you may have to work with the breeders to get this done in time
- This year, Junior Market Goats will show before Open Show Goats
- The angora category shear date has been changed
- Maximum weight for market goats is now 120 pounds
- The show is adding a Dorper class to the market lamb show
- The 2021 (not this year, but next year) market barrow maximum weight will change to 290 pounds
- Premium passes will be offered to save your spot in line for $500
- This year we are cleaning out the system, so all exhibitor information will be deleted and needs to be re-entered from scratch

- There is a small increase in fee for gate passes this year
- Please remember to keep camping to a minimum on site - we have a lot of people and animals coming through
- they DO allow battery powered clippers
- Big changes to opening weekend! Wether dam, wether doe, market lamb/goat arrival has changed in addition to some of the show dates
- NEW: TLBA and TGBA Tags are mandatory (must be in ear before validation)
- lightweight lamb weights have increases and some of the weight classes have changed
- Maximum goat weight will be 120 pounds
- Does must be slick shorn or they will be disqualified
- Steers will be classified on arrival
- We are no longer a Texas Bred Hog Show & they will be enforcing the new breed standards with the exception of light crosses (they will split 10 classes between light and dark crosses)
- Junior Breeding Swine Show will be a 6 breed gilt show
- STAR show is an 8 breed format gilt show

- NEW: Entries will be accepted on heifers born on or after January 1, 2018 (that means the oldest heifer in the show will have a birth date of 1/1/18)
- Reminder: Junior market steers have a minimum weight requirement of 1,000 lbs
- NEW: Steer classifying on Wednesday, February 5 and show Thursday/Friday in the Will Rogers Colliseum (NOT Watt Arena) - all steers will cross Burnett-Tandy Drive from Tower Promenade between Cattle 1 and Cattle 2
- Reminder: Junior Barrow arrivals begin at Trinity Park starting at 8:00 AM on Monday, 2/3/20
