UPDATES & REMINDERS FROM THE SHOW:

Below is a brief update from the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Management team.  Click on the images below to make them larger or click here download the update as a PDF.  They have asked us to point out some big changes:
  • REMINDER: All Extension Agents have until 12/1/19 to sign, seal, and postmark all online entries and supporting documents - double check with them to see when they have set your county deadline (Bastrop County 4-H entries are due to the CEO by 4 PM, November 7th)
  • There is a small increase in fee for gate passes this year
  • Please remember to keep camping to a minimum on site - we have a lot of people and animals coming through
  • they DO allow battery powered clippers
  • Big changes to opening weekend!  Wether dam, wether doe, market lamb/goat arrival has changed in addition to some of the show dates
  • NEW: TLBA and TGBA Tags are mandatory (must be in ear before validation)
  • lightweight lamb weights have increases and some of the weight classes have changed
  • Maximum goat weight will be 120 pounds
  • Does must be slick shorn or they will be disqualified
  • Steers will be classified on arrival
  • We are no longer a Texas Bred Hog Show & they will be enforcing the new breed standards with the exception of light crosses (they will split 10 classes between light and dark crosses)
  • Junior Breeding Swine Show will be a 6 breed gilt show
  • STAR show is an 8 breed format gilt show
