Good evening!

We are excited to share the results from our County level Recordbook Judging event!  Congratulations to all of our participants!!  The judges were VERY impressed with your experiences and hard work that went into your recordbooks this year!

Please note that all youth who placed first in their category will be able to check their recordbooks out of the County Extension Office starting on Monday, June 14th, to review scoresheets and make any edits/changes before resubmitting the recordbook for District judging.  Recordbooks will need to be turned back in to the County Extension Office by 12:00 Noon on June 30th to go to District.  All other recordbooks will be returned at Banquet.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR JUDGING:

  • To help our kiddos out, we need a few people (adults and senior aged 4-H members) to help us judge recordbooks at the County and District Levels
  • Judging recordbooks is a great way to learn more about the project areas, get some cool ideas for formatting your recordbook, and some cool ideas for us to do for our 4-H members here in our own county!
  • DISTRICT JUDGING:
    • CLICK HERE to sign up on the District Judging Tab!
    • The District has asked for us to provide at least 3 volunteers.
    • Lunch will be provided for volunteers participating in this event
    • Senior Aged 4-H Members (9-12 grades) are allowed to sign up to judge the Junior age categories!
    • This event will take place in one day; volunteers will be assigned in groups of 2-3 to 1 category in 1 age group.  There will typically be between 10 and 20 recordbooks to judge during this day.  Most categories are finished with judging by about 2:00 PM.
    • July 8, 2021: All 21 counties in the District are going to meet at the Gillespie County Extension Office in Fredericksburg, Texas to judge from about 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM-ish
