TPWD & LCRA Prescribed Fire Workshop: Benefits & Application - 12/6/19

Landowners,

On December 6^th, 2019, TPWD and LCRA will be hosting a Prescribed Burn Workshop for landowners at LCRA’s McKinney Roughs Nature Park in Cedar Creek, TX. 

Topics covered will include:

• Historical perspectives on fire
• The role of fire in vegetation management
• Fire weather and safety
• Fireline preparation
• Suppression equipment
• Smoke management
• Planning the burn

If weather permits, they will be looking at actually conducting a small burn as well.
