Train Like a Champion Clinic & Prospect Show - 7/20/19

On behalf of the Train Like A Champion Planning Committee, we would like to invite your 4-H Livestock Project families to attend the 2019 Train Like A Champion Event being held on Saturday, July 20th at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in LaGrange!

The Train Like A Champion event will feature species clinics for Beef Cattle (market steers, halter heifers, pen heifers), Swine (clinic only, no show), Sheep, and Goats along with excellent door prizes to be handed out.  In addition to the clinic, there will be a showmanship workout where exhibitors will get one-on-one instruction time with clinicians and livestock ambassadors.  After the showmanship workout, there will be a Jackpot Showmanship Show, and the conclusion of the day will include a Prospect Show.  The heifer show will include a separate Commercial Heifer division for non-registered females.

The Train Like A Champion event is designed with the novice showmen in mind.  The goal of the event is to encourage young exhibitors to get out and gain valuable in-ring experience, improve their showmanship skills, and ask questions to help provide a positive learning experience with their livestock projects.  Even the more experienced families with livestock that just need to get their projects out of the barn will benefit from participating in the event.

How To Enter:
Submit the completed entry paperwork with payment to:

Kayla Kaspar
255 Svoboda Ln., La Grange, TX 78945
  • Entry Fees are $20/head until July 8th and $30/head from then on to the day of the event
